(Nice nickname: Hopeless)

Felix sighed and shook his head. "You're hopeless." He would have helped her, but he didn't feel like it. She'd gotten herself down there, she could get up. "Come on or we'll never make it to the Sand," he told her. "Unless you want to go digging up this entire cave until it collaspes on us. And then we have to spend eternity buried alive, literally." His eyes were hidden behind his hair and his facial expression was blank. Without waiting he pushed himself away from the wall and started towards the entrance.

(nice siggy: The Riddle? XD)

Serenity gave a small smile as he said she was hopeless. "You say that alot," she said. She looked at him as he said that they should get going to the Sand. Then she realized that she'd never even bothered to test if her powers really had emerged. She gave a slight smile as he got up and started towards the entrance. Her eyes shined with amusement as she thought of a way to put it to the test. She got up and followed him out the door, realizing as she walked out that there was a small scorpion on her shoe. She stopped and looked at it a moment before picking it up by the tail, near the stinger and placing it on the ground before picking up he pace a little and catching up with Felix. She didn't mind the little creatures, but you had to know how to hold them, otherwise they'd sting you. Since most of the venom was in the tail, you'd pick it up by there, just as one would pick a snake up by its head. Serenity looked at Felix as they walked. "How far do you plan on accompanying me?" she asked. If it was just to the Sand Village, then she'd have to hone her powers by the time she got there, which would need quite a bit of practice.

Felix walked back to the front ignoring her comment on him saying that she was Hopeless. He wouldn't say it had it not been true. He gave a small shrug when she asked him how far he'd be accompany her. "I don't know, why?" He asked. He never really understood Serenity and her questions. What was the purpose of her asking him how far he'd be going into the Sand with her. Then again he had someone he needed to take a quick visit to. He wouldn't tell her that though, she'd probably want to tag along. And he didn't have time to babysit her. Not today atleast.

Serenity noticed that he hadn't said anything about her comment, but decided against mentioning it. When he asked why she wanted to know how far he'd be accompanying her, she gave a small shrug. "Because I may be going further than just the Sand Village. And if you don't plan on accompanying me, I need to make sure I have what I need before leaving the Sand," she said simply. Normally she would've just kept him guessing, but this was something that she needed to know. Looking down as she walked, Serenity concentrated on making a wind. She'd put it to the test. And since there had been no wind in the day so far, there would be no misunderstandings on her part. As they walked a wind crept up silently and blew from behind them, kicking up a bit of sand. Serenity paused in her steps only for a second, but it wasn't noticeable. Hopefully Felix hadn't seen her hesitation. So my powers have finally come forth, she thought, looking down as she walked.

Felix kept walking even as she spoke. Why she wanted to go farther than the Sand was not his buisness. He wasn't here because he wanted to make sure she didn't need to get into trouble. He was here on a mission. It just happened to be in the same location. "It's up to you," he said. He'd rather not waste his time. Even if he had plenty to spare. When there was a slight pause he almost stopped to see what had happened, but didn't because it was a slight pause. She'd probably forgotten something.

Serenity was glad that Felix hadn't stopped and asked why she'd paused. When he said that it was up to her, she looked at him and gave a small smile. "I'll be fine once I get to the Sand," she said with a shrug. "You haven't gotten much rest since you got back from your last mission, so you should go back to the Crested. Like I said, feel free to stay at my place." She folded her hands behind her back and looked back in front of her. Something then came to her mind. Why would Felix stay at her house so often? He did have a place to stay, didn't he?

Felix looked at her. Rest was the last thing on his mind. "I don't really need rest. I'm not tired," he said. He was used to going on missions and not stopping for breaks. She just didn't understand that. Felix sighed. And why didn't she understand that he didn't like going into peoples homes when they were absent. He didn't want questions arousing in the Crested either. "I'll be fine."

Serenity looked at him as he told her that he didn't need rest. She sighed and crossed her arms. "Why do you insist on accompanying me?" she asked as another wind blew, stronger than the one before. She wasn't quite sure yet whether this was something she wanted to do on her own or not, but she was leaning towards on her own. She didn't think Felix was someone she could be around on her treasure hunts. She started wondering if there was anyway that she could bring Jake and Mora back to life. She looked back down as this thought crossed through her mind. Why would she want to bring them back into such a cold world?

Felix looked at her as she asked why he wanted to accompany her. He stopped then and there and turned to face her. "I am not insisting on anything." He told her. "Do not confuse me with other people. I insist on nothing Serenity. It either happens or it doesn't. I gave you a choice. You say I go with you or I move on with my business." He let his hair fall from his eyes. "Time to make a decision. Choose."

Serenity stopped as Felix had and looked at him. He seemed to have gotten a bit angry at her word choice. She gave a small smile and a sigh as he told her that she was to make a decision. "I'll be fine after we get to the Sand Village," she said as she turned and started to walk again. She'd made her choice. She wondered if he'd go along with it though. She looked down at the sand and stopped. Because before she'd even had a chance to think it a ball of sand surrounded by a barely visible barrier of air was floating in front of her. She gave a small grin. She was done hiding it from Felix. She was enjoying this new found power far too much. It was like it came naturally for the air to bend to her thoughts. As she walked the ball stayed a consistent distance in front of her and started bending to different shapes. Serenity crossed her arms in front of her and watched it. The ball separated into two, then four, then eight before falling back to the ground. "Hmmm," she said quietly. She wondered what else she could make it do.

Felix walked with little expression. His icy blue eyes glowed. When Serenity made her choice he simply nodded and went on. He didn't feel like talking anymore. As she stopped he nearly ran into her but quickly moved to the side. Only to see a ball of sand floating infront of her. So Serenity wasn't as powerless as she looked. But not grin came about his face as it usually would have. He looked at her. "You can bend air? When did this come about." A thousands winds will break the curse and awaken a sleeping spirit Felix had gotten the words from Kyla, the gypsy. Was this suppose to be part of the riddle. Would Serenity be involved. Why did he always have to overthink things.

(Ah. The riddle.)

Serenity looked at Felix as he asked when she started being able to bend air. "Yesterday I guess," she said with a shrug as she looked back in front of her and kept walking. The gates to the Sand were becoming visible. "Of course, I just figured out what it was today," she said, not looking at him.

(Wow, really)

Felix didn't question her anymore. He completely doubted it'd be someone as hopeless as Serenity. Who just started to learn her own powers after all these years she'd been alive. She proabbly couldn't create one wind, let alone a thousand. Felix sighed. Giving riddles was one thing, but recieving was another. But he had a feeling that Kyla wasn't just giving him a riddle, but a prophecy as well. As they neared the gates he felt a bit less tense. All he had to do was help her find her crystal, turn in his mission, and give a small visit to someone.

Serenity's mortal side started coming back as they neared the gates. All she had to do was go to the Kage and track down this Hanzer Gioni. Then she'd find out why he'd stolen her crystal. She wouldn't leave him alone until she'd retrieved her crystal ball from him. As they got to the gates, Serenity looked around. She then started for the Kage's tower without hesitation. She'd onyl been here once, and a long time ago, but she remembered the basic layout. She stopped, then looked at Felix with a small smile. "Thank you for accompanying me Felix. But I should be fine from here on out," she said.

Felix nodded. "Alright," he said and walked off. If she got into any trouble trying to get her crystal back from the Hanzer guy he hoped she'd be able to use her wind and fight back. If not she'd be in a world of trouble. "Serenity, wait." He said and turned around to face her. "Death keeps a watchful eye on those souls he cannot take. A key that cuts deeper than any kunai." He then turned away and jumped onto a building and headed towards the person he'd have to visit before he left back to the Crested.

Serenity turned to start walking away as he turned, but stopped as he called her. She turned to look at him and gave a soft smile as he gave her one of his oh-so-famous riddles. She nodded and turned without a word as Felix took off. Death keeps a most watchful eye on me. Eventually if one begs for death often enough, Death will be sure to grant their wish. At least, I wish that were true, she thought as she walked towards the tower, her eyes downcast. When she got to the tower, and the kage, it was simple enough to request this Hanzer Gioni. All Serenity had to do was convince the kage that this man had taken something that belonged to her and he'd ended up telling her that the man was on a mission near the Village hidden in the Mist. Serenity only nodded and thanked him before heading out of the tower in search of supplies. She'd leave the following morning since the man she was persuing was already gone. As she walked her arms were crossed and her eyes were downcast in a rather sad expression. She missed Jake and Mora beyond all belief and this trip would most definitely be a lonely one. It was almost nightfall, so Serenity headed to a hotel and stayed the night, having gotten all the supplies she needed. When she woke up in the morning, she showered, dressed, got her stuff together and left the gates of the Sand. She'd find that crystal ball. Although it would've probably been simpler had she gone through the man's house first to see if it was there, Serenity was no robber. Besides that, she wanted to know why this man'd taken her crystal to begin with.

(You can bring Felix or an NPC in or whatever. Or this could be end thread, but then you'd be left wondering what happened Wink )

A mysterious ninja stood not so far from where Serenity had stayed the night. He'd gotten word she was looking for Hanzer, but'd he'd already left. The ninja turned around. He'd speak with her tomorrow. No threats, no promises, just a talk. Just when he started to leave he began to wonder where the man that had accompanied her into the village had gone. Maybe he was just an escort. Whatever the case was he was sure that he wouldn't be too much trouble.

With a quick glance behind at the village, Serenity walked out of the gates and started towards the direction of the Village hidden in the Mist. She'd start there and ask if anyone knew what direction he'd gone in. It shouldn't have been too hard as long as she didn't run into trouble. As she walked, Serenity practiced with her new powers by making winds facing west as she went. She couldn't help but feel as if she was being followed though.

The ninja didn't start after Serenity for a couple of hours, but he was an expert tracker. And finding her was a peice of cake to him. He gave a small chuckle at his skills. He wasn't the greatest ninja in his village. Nor was he the best tracker. But he admired his skills and trusted in them enough to brag to some of the older ninja. When he felt it was time to track down Serenity he began to move. It didn't take long to pick up her trail. When he finally came in distance he slowed. The wind was blowing, it was a bit strange. "Excuse me," he said as he ran up to he to catch up. "Hang on a minute."

Serenity travelled for a few hours, knowing that she was going in the right direction. When she heard someone call her from behind, she stopped and quickly turned around. She didn't want to be taken off guard. When he came closer, she tried not to take a step back. What was it with her and meeting up with unruly characters? She looked at him and stood where she was. "Can I help you?" she asked almost nervously.

The ninja came to a stop. "Er...well...hehe...tthis is kind of akward, but..." He paused a moment and scratched his head. "You see, I'm from the Sand, and I kind of heard you were looking for Hanzer. Word is he stole from you..." The ninja strugged. "I'm a tracker, and I'd like to help you find him. No funny stuff, I swear." He said. His purple eyes glistening slighhtly. "I know you're probably wondering why i want to help you find a ninja of my own village. The thing is, I sort of...I think...umm." He gave a sigh. "I need to sharper up on my skills. And Hanzer is a hard guy to track down and I want to lend a hand is all. Stupid I know, but give me a chance."

Serenity watched the ninja as he studdered. She only nodded as he said that he heard that Hanzer stole from her. She listened to his proposal as he said that he wanted to help her find Hanzer in order to sharpen his skills. She didn't know if it was such a good idea. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. But you should know. Should you decide to try anything funny, you won't be able to kill me," she said. It may've sounded like a threat, but her and Felix would both know it wasn't, even though Felix wasn't there. "I hope you have everything you need, because I don't plan on stopping at any villages for a while," she said turning on her heal. If she was lucky, she might make a friend of this guy. But when was she ever lucky? She started again towards the Mist Village. He could say something if he had any leads on Hanzer.

The ninja nodded. "I won't try anything," he said. He'd already agreed to make no promises. Even with her little comment on not being able to kill her. Just what was that suppose to mean. He shrugged. As she turned away he blinked and quickly followed after her. She seemed to be in a real hurry to get whatever had been taken from her. As they walked he became tired of the silence. So he tried an approach of onversation. "I'm Hunter by the way. May I ask your name?" That seemed like a start to him. Getting to know one anothers names was the first step to getting the job done. "Um...I don't mean to be a downer, but you do realize Hanzer won't just hand over whatever he took. I mean...most people don't do that. Finders keeper." He shrugged and looked up sheilding his eyes from the sun. "I'm pretty sure we can use that to our advanatage though. I'm a master at planning." Hunter wasn't bragging, he was just merely stating something that could be of use to her. Afterall, that was why he was here.

Serenity looked at Hunter with a smile as he asked her name. "It's Serenity," she said, then looked back in front of her as Hunter stated that Hanzer wouldn't just hand over that which he'd taken from her. "I understand that. But I refuse to rest until I've reclaimed what's mine." She looked at him as he said that he was a master planner. "In that case, once we know where Hanzer is, we should find a way to get it back. Although, I hardly think that what he's taken from me is something that he'd carry around with him." She briefly wondered why Felix had escorted her to the Sand to begin with. Although, unlike most of her other thoughts, this one didn't fade as soon as it came.

Hunter crossed his arms behind his head. "Cute name," he said with a smirk. Hunter then nodded slightly as she said she wouldn't stop till she got her item back. He'd back her up, most of the way. Hunter then looked at her when she stated that whatever she had wasn't exactly what someone would just carry around. "So I'm guessing it isn't something that's often seen, or a person would be able to identify it without a problem and get the culprit in a deep mess." Hunter gave a shrug. "I think I know how to get your item back," he said. "Don't hold me to it though, I'm still working this out in my head." Hunter wasn't lying, he was telling the truth. He was trying to help her. "Um, if you...if you don't mind me asking. I'd like to know where you're from." He said with a small glance from the corner of his eye.
